Moore Stephens Technology Australia to revolutionise the bus and coach industry

Moore Stephens Technology Australia (MSTA) today announced the signing of two foundation clients for implementation of the Bus and Coach Solution (BaCS) which is set to revolutionise the bus and coach industry.

Mr Garry Childs, MSTA Director, said both clients, ComfortDelGro Cabcharge (CDC) and Veolia Transport both had the potential to become global BaCS installations.

“BaCS uses proven Microsoft technologies to automate, streamline, track and report on all elements of a bus and coach operation and is scalable to businesses of any size and complexity,” Mr Childs said. “For the first time, any bus and coach business will be able to automate every facet of its operation, delivering phenomenal efficiencies and totally streamlining adherence to Ministry standards which results in a much healthier business and bottom line.

“And we are delighted to have two high-calibre foundation clients on-board in CDC and Veolia Transport,” Mr Childs added. “CDC is the largest private bus operator in Australia and a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Corporation, a global transportation company, and Veolia Transport is a global transport business and the world’s largest environmental services business,” he said. “Both of these organisations have enjoyed significant success in transport around the world and are now looking to BaCS and MSTA to help them take their businesses to new levels of streamlined efficiency and profitability.”

Jim Glasson, CDC CEO said its new business systems platform is based on the Microsoft Dynamics AX product enhanced with the BaCS vertical.  “This combination will establish an information platform that will improve the ability of the business to make more timely decisions based on more accurate data,” Mr Glasson said. “We are seeking to reduce our operating and compliance risk and increase efficiency and profitability.

“The BaCS solution will change the way we operate right across the business with the view to improving communication and streamlining workflow.  We expect that the implementation of this solution will deliver tangible long term efficiency and business improvement opportunities for CDC,” Mr Glasson said.

Yvonne Hunt, Veolia IT manager said Veolia Transport Australasia selected the BaCS system as it provides a fully integrated solution across the whole business. “BaCS features the latest and best technology available from Microsoft,” Ms Hunt said, “and this gives us great confidence in its scalability and comfort in the fact that it is future-proofed.

“The user interface is very simple and intuitive to use and is already familiar to our staff as we use the Microsoft Office suite of applications. MSTA proved its ability and knowledge throughout the sales cycle and the BaCS system reflects this,” Ms Hunt said.

BaCS is a Microsoft Dynamics AX-based solution. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 is a comprehensive business management solution for mid-sized and larger organisations that works like and with familiar Microsoft software to help improve productivity. BaCS uses the power of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 to function from one central database which means data need only be entered once and the system intuitively populates relevant modules.
